Access to Healthcare

By tackling the unique challenges facing our rural healthcare system, Shanna will advocate for affordable, accessible and equitable care for every resident of Grand County.

Shanna is dedicated to making sure all our neighbors get the care they need. She supports expansion of programs such as Medicaid and WIC and investing in Grand County Human Services to alleviate economic challenges facing working families.

Transparency and accountability are core principles of Shanna's healthcare agenda. She pledges to ensure local government is responsive to the concerns of the community and strengthens our healthcare infrastructure to support families through every stage of life.

Affordable Housing

Bringing together community, government and the private sector, Shanna will remove barriers for affordable housing and enact policies reflecting the shared values and aspirations of Grand County residents.

Ushering in a new culture of transparency and accountability, Shanna pledges to hold developers accountable through inclusionary housing ordinances and incentives for building homes that stay affordable over time.

Making up 99% of businesses in our community, Shanna is passionate about supporting small business owners through innovation.

Essential to the growth of our local economy, broadband access is a priority for Shanna. She will bring collaboration to the process to make broadband a reality now.

Education & Childcare

Quality schools and childcare are essential for a stable workforce. Shanna will ensure Grand County children have the best opportunities to learn and grow.

Our community faces a childcare shortage and an underfunded school system in a state that ranks 37th in teacher pay competitiveness. Shanna supports expanding access to programs that help families afford childcare and early education. These are not just investments in our children but investments in the future of Grand County.

Shanna will work with schools, parents and communities to create supportive environments for our children. By listening to families and educators, she will make collaborative decisions that support our schools and promote the success of every student.
